Selection Critiera

Successful applications should be:

A resident of South Australia
Deemed to belong to one to more of the Early Career, Diverse Groups, Games Adjacent streams

Applicants will be judged on the quality of their application, taking into consideration their passion and milestone suggestions in order to determine who can make the most of space to develop commercial opportunities for their business or further their career.

Game Plus offers Dedicated Desks (set up your gear and leave it in the space) and Flexible Memberships (come in every so often to use a desk ad hoc). All memberships give 24/7 access and full access to our events and members’ Discord server. As part of The GPS Program, we will endeavor to provide Flexible Memberships for 3-6 months and Dedicated Desks for 6 months.

To help you make the most out of your Game Plus membership, please outline three milestones you hope to achieve during your time in The GPS Program.

EXAMPLE ONE

Milestone 1: Define project scope; I want to narrow down the scope of the project I’ve already been working on to be manageable and achievable and make a basic game design document to show this;
Milestone 2: Proof of concept; I want to create a basic playable proof of concept (basic or no art) to let people try it out and give me feedback;
Milestone 3: Vertical slice; I want to have completed a short playable version of my game with all the basic art and mechanics implemented, so I can show it to other people to get feedback, playtesting, etc.

EXAMPLE TWO

Milestone 1: Portfolio work; I want to work on my art portfolio and create two first pass pieces of art by this milestone date.
Milestone 2: Seek and implement feedback; I want to gather feedback from the community on the two pieces of art I’ve made to further my skills and apply this feedback to improve these pieces
Milestone 3: Four pieces of art; I want to finalise the first two pieces of art and complete two more, benefiting from the feedback I’ve gained so far.
