Game Plus is hosting the 2023 Global Game Jam. We're doing this as a hybrid event, in-person at our co-working spaces and online via our members-only Discord server. For current members, it's easy. For newcomers, you'll get a free Flexible Membership that'll let you join the game jam and access the Game Plus space, events, and Discord server for the whole of February 2023. If after that you don't want to stick around, your membership will just end, no charge. Use this as a trial period, see if you like it, and if you do you can let us know and become an ongoing member. We'll have other events in February so you can get a feel for the community and space.

Already a member and want to attend the game jam? Simple! Just let your Community Manager know and register at the appropriate site here once the game jam starts.

Not yet a Game Plus member, but want to join the game jam? Perfect! Joining us in-person is subject to availability of space, but if we're full you'll also be able to join us online. Either way, it's just a few quick steps so you can join in with the game jam and also get a free membership for the month:

4. Wait for us to get in touch, then register at the appropriate site here once the game jam starts

We're hosting the Global Game Jam in a few places, so check out the specific details for where you're attending:

• All Locations
  • bring your own PC and any gear you need, we'll provide desks, power and internet
  • if you're a new member and want to attend in-person over the weekend you MUST attend the launch event on the afternoon of Friday, February 3rd for a site tour and safety briefing
• Canberra - the game jam will be online and in-person for new and existing members
• Adelaide - there won't be any in-person GGJ supervision or events, and our space is nearly full so we aren't accepting new members for this jam but existing members can join in on the Game Plus Discord and jam along with Canberra and Sydney and online jammers
• Sydney - our building has certain security requirements, so if you're a new member and want to attend in-person for the weekend, submit your membership agreement by 29 January and we'll email you to get a refundable security deposit for your weekend access pass so you can access the space
